Abstract:
A compilation of government and industry aeromagnetic datasets for the NWT Cordillera, as of end 2019. The line data of total magnetic intensity (TMI) from each survey were drape-continued downward to a minimum height chosen for that survey, then microlevelled, and gridded. The IGRF was removed from each TMI grid. The resulting collection of residual TMI grids were stitched together and levelled to create the compilation. Supplementary grids were made: reduced-to-the-pole residual TMI (RTP); vertical, horizontal, and tilt derivatives of the RTP grid; analytical signal of the TMI grid; a 500-metre upward continuation of the RTP grid; and the tilt derivative of the upward-continued grid. An interpretation of magnetic lineaments and domains is provided in an appendix.
